Our boys were clinical in their disposal of the Williamstown & District Cricket Association in a rain affected match at Harry Trott Oval. Inclement weather forced the game to be reduced to 26 overs per side and on a largely flat and lifeless wicket we were sent in by the opposition, a decision that the opposition captain no doubt regrets. We bowled quick, full and fast to have the opposition reeling at 4/27 before Aaron ‘Puppy Dog’ Clarke came on with his off spinners, he bowled with grace and twirl and finished with stunning figures of 5/11 and as the opposition crumbled to be all out for just 50. In reply we were never really challenged, Charles Erasmus (30*) and Scott Edwards (14*) saw us to a crushing ten wicket victory. A clearly emotional Bobby Mudher had this to say after the game ‘We are the best bunch of blokes’. The boys next game takes place on the 8th of December at Dempster Park, Sunshine against the North Metro CA. A strong performance could see our u/21s play off in a semi final for the second season running.
