Post play score service reminder

Rule’s 11 & 16 in the Rule Book identifies the club responsibilities after each match day with respect to Scores.

This process has also been reiterated at the Delegates Meetings, and there are four possible ways to get the Scores in per agreement between the Score taker; Mike Dwyer, and the Committee of Management.

The ‘Score Phone Service’ contact is Mike Dwyer and his number is 0407 585 704 and scores can be sent as Text only (no calls) to this mobile, phoned to the Recorded Message Line number 9877 4438, emailed to him directly at mjdwyer39@gmail.com, or finally uploaded immediately onto MyCricket (Mike has access and checks MyCricket records as a component of the score service) and any of the above will suffice.

Batting performances of 40 or more and bowling performances of 4/ or better should also be recorded along with the individuals name.

The timeframes are as follows – Ray McIntosh, Howard Wilson and Dorothy McIntosh Shield Grades by 7.00 p.m. and all other Grades by 8.00 p.m. after each match day has completed.

Reminder: MyCricket match entry requirements

Over the past month or so there have been a number of requests to reopen MyCricket matches.

The majority of these requests have resulted from the HOME TEAM’s actions when they have (incorrectly) confirmed scores before the AWAY TEAM has had an opportunity to complete or check the scores & enter their player records. It is the AWAY TEAM’s responsibility to Confirm the match.

To clarify the BHRDCA MyCricket Match entry requirements…

BOTH TEAMS should enter their Selected teams (the equivalent to a Team Sheet) prior to, or at the latest, by 6.00 p.m. the day after the match commences

The HOME TEAM should enter the Short Result & update the Match status to a Saved Match Result by 6.00 p.m. the day after the match has concluded. (NOTE: Any earlier progress scores i.e. Innings entered after Day 1 of a Two Day game should only be saved as a Match in Progress.) Where possible, the HOME TEAM player performances should also be entered by 6.00 p.m. the day after the match has concluded (NOTE: This makes it easier for the AWAY team to meet their match completion obligations & for the Ladders to be formalised as early as possible in the days following the actual match conclusion)

The AWAY TEAM has up to three days after the match has concluded e.g. Tuesday at 6.00 p.m. to enter their player performances & to ensure that the HOME TEAM has entered the result correctly. The AWAY TEAM on ascertaining that the match result & team lists are correct should then Confirm the match as an accurate reflection of the Match outcome.

This will trigger an alert to the BHRDCA that the match day administration has been completed and the result (and Ladders) will be made official.

F Grade Split Innings Rules

As per previous communication, F Grade will trial split innings cricket for the remaining two day games in this grade.

This format has been extremely popular in neighbouring competitions and also with BHRDCA juniors where it was expanded this season.

The rules are attached and largely follow the existing junior rules.
