CHILD SAFETY
From the commencement of the 2018/19 season Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria & the BHRDCA (& BHRDCA Umpires Assoc.) have subscribed to a Policy (developed from the National Royal Commission into Child Safety) that ensures the safeguarding of children and young people involved in the BHRDCA.
On the 1st July, 2022, an updated Child Safety framework was implemented by the Commission for Children & Young People (CCYP) which expanded the existing standards from 7 to 11 new standards. Cricket Victoria adopted this new framework and in turn the BHRDCA fully endorsed its implementation across the entire competition.
The BHRDCA Committee of Management & BHRDCAUA fully endorsed the implementation of the new framework and standards at its September, 2022 Meeting and the documents & statements outlining this commitment are included herein.
